About KAUST and Fellowship
An hour from Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, on the Red Sea shoreline, sits King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), a private, international, graduate-level research university. The university is committed to developing science and technology via multidisciplinary research, education, and innovation. The university’s vision is to be a catalyst for innovation, economic development, and social prosperity in Saudi Arabia and around the world. Students, professors, scientists, and engineers perform curiosity-driven and goal-oriented research to address the world’s critical scientific and technological challenges related to food, water, energy, and the environment.
The KAUST Fellowship, which allows students to concentrate on their studies by covering expenses such as annual flights, tuition, housing, and a considerable monthly stipend, is given to all accepted students at KAUST.
Requirements, Applications, and more
A minimum TOEFL score of 79 on the IBT (Internet Based Test) or 6.5 on the IELTS is needed to enroll in KAUST (International English Language Testing System). 4107 is the KAUST admissions code. There will only be official TOEFL or IELTS scores accepted.
If the candidate holds a degree from an approved university in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand, a TOEFL or IELTS score is not necessary.
For admission to KAUST, the GRE is not mandatory. To take the GRE general test, though, is something they strongly advise students to do. A student’s application will be strengthened with a strong quantitative GRE score. ETS should be contacted immediately with official test results. The entrance code for KAUST is 4139.
